Abstract

This paper gives a simple overview of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their importance in modern education.LMS platforms are digital systems that help teachers manage, deliver, and track learning materials. They have changed the way teaching and learning take place by allowing online education, flexible learning schedules, and personalized experiences. The paper explains the history of LMS, their key features, impact on education, challenges, and new trends like Artificial Intelligence (AI), mobile learning, and gamification. The study also suggests areas for further improvement and future research to make LMS more effective and accessible for all learners.

Conclusion

Learning Management Systems have become an essential part of modern education. They provide flexible, accessible, and personalized learning experiences for students worldwide. From their early days as computer-based tools to today’s intelligent, cloud-driven platforms, LMSs have transformed how knowledge is shared and assessed. Although challenges like cost, training, and accessibility remain, continuous improvements in technology will make LMS more effective and inclusive. The integration of AI, mobile tools, and gamification will shape the future of online education, ensuring that learning is engaging and available to all.
